Minor prisoners mixed with adult prisoners in the prison.

Hi guys! Welcome to my blog again and again so now, I’m going to share to you the summary and my reflection about the videos we watched. But do you have an idea that the age of criminal responsibility lowered at the age of 9 years old in the present? If not and you want to know more, then keep reading!

The news headline shocked everyone because Minors hurt passenger of the jeepney just because one of the passengers complained about getting her food so the minor pull her hair then they just run. Once they caught they bring them to the bahay pag-asa because they’re too young to put in the jail.

Under the proposed bill, the age of criminal responsibility lowered from 15 to 9 years old and will face criminal charges if found doing serious crimes such as stealing, homicide, kidnapping, murder and many more.

Two days after the age of criminals responsibility lower from 12-9 year’s old because of the minors doing many serious crimes and they can now be used by the syndicate because of the thought they can’t punish because they’re too young.

Republic Act(RA) 9344 or the Juvenile Justice Act of 2006 which excerpts 15-18 yes olds from criminal liability. A minimum 12 years old in imprisonment in juvenile care units would be imposed as punished.

According to Representative Doy Lechon, the children will not put in the jail but instead, they will go undergo rehabilitation in deformation institution just like bahay pag-asa.

But in Cebu, there’s no enough facilities to put minors because they are many so they decided to mix the minor with adults in the prison.

Inside the prison with adults is very hard because first there is not enough food. They will eat in one bowl with 11-15 people sleep in one prison with 159 people, and once the gates open in the night, children abused and sometimes raped by adults.

Many of the minors committing crimes are because of the family they from. Sometimes minors abused by their fathers and have a mother that is always drinking alcohol, poverty, not enough money to feed and bring them to the school they just live them alone by themselves.

The minors also learn to steal but they choose who will they’re going to the victim such as if you look rich and have a snobbish face but if you also look poor they’ll live you alone. In the streets, minors also learn about sniffing solvent to prevent hunger.

In the music video “Isang pagkakataon pa” stated that minors should not put in the jail with adults because they should have another chance to change and if they mix to the adult prisoners it is difficult because they can influence because they are surrounding of criminals. I feel bad and sad for them because they just want to eat, to guide and take care of their parents but their family is the one influencing them to do something bad.

In my own opinion and perspective, Children or minors shouldn’t be put in the jail but instead, put in the youth facilities just like bahay pag-asa for rehabilitation and learn that everyone can have a mistake and also can change.

It has no relation at all but even though it’s not related in my blog, I feel sad to the children who have parents that don’t care to them and find food by themselves. Getting caught and put in prison.

This issue/problems are the problems where our country facing and also a reminder to people that you should have a family planning, have enough or stable work to feed to your family and bring them to school and knowledge to take care of their children.
